Our Inspection Process

Every pin we send is hand-inspected before it ships. Because these are previously traded pins, minor surface wear consistent with park trading is normal and expected. Here's what we check for:

• Backstamp clarity: We verify that each pin carries a legible, correctly formatted Disney backstamp. Scrappers and counterfeits frequently have blurry, malformed, or missing stamps.
• Enamel quality: We look for smooth, fully filled enamel with consistent color. Obvious bubbling, crazing, or large voids are flags we screen out.
• Edge finish: Pin edges should be clean and evenly finished. Rough, jagged, or uneven casting is a common scrapper tell that we watch for.
• Size & proportion: We compare pins against known authentic dimensions. Undersized or oversized castings — a hallmark of many counterfeits — are rejected.
• Post hardware: Each pin is checked for a proper rubber Mickey-head or metal clutch post. Missing, mismatched, or low-quality posts are a red flag.
• Weight & feel: Authentic Disney pins have a consistent heft from quality metal. Unusually light pins that feel hollow or flimsy don't make the cut.
